Worship & Prayer
called to worship; and to be worshippers
Worship is not confined to Sundays because our whole lives are intended to be part of our worship to God. At the Upper Room our worship services are in a modern informal style, and visitors friends and family are always welcome.
When we meet together our aim is to build one another up encouraging those who attend to walk more closely with God; helping each other along the way.
We begin with a period of singing worship songs, in which we express our love and thanks to God. Click here to see some of the songs we are currently singing.
There is always opportunity to receive prayer for personal needs, or healing at the end of each meeting. We value prayer a great deal at the upper room.
As well as worship services the upper room is committed to providing practical help in the community, and internationally through our mission support. We cater for the whole family, there is a creche during the Sunday morning service, and a Sunday school, which provides a full range of activities for children and young people.

called to pray
Prayer forms an important part of the life of the upper room, as individuals and as a body of people. Prayer is our communication with God, giving thanks, asking for help, for direction, and praying for the needs of others.
We have committed ourselves to regularly praying for the town and for individuals.
If you have a prayer need get in touch with us and we will pray for you. Click here to go to our prayer request form.
All requests are treated with respect and in confidence.
Here are some of the prayer requests that we are currently praying for.
