Can you help local people in Middleton by donating food to Middleton Central Foodbank?

Trussell Tesco collection Banner Nov 2014Starting on Thursday 27th November we are taking part in 3 days of collections in our local Tesco stores around the town.

We will have manned collection points in town centre Tesco Extra store on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, why not come along and meet some of our volunteers and find out more about what we do to help local people.

Middleton Central Foodbank Tesco collection 5th July 2014 - 73 crates - smllWe will also have unmanned collections at the three Tesco Extra stores in Langley, Alkrington and Moorclose on Oldham Road. Donations can be made at any of the stores, just drop the food into one of the collection points in the store and we will make sure it gets brought back to our central foodbank.

Earlier in the year we had a massive collection of 73 crates of food, all donated by local Tesco customers, which helped the foodbank get going. Since the Foodbank opened in August we have been able to support over 300 people, including over 100 children. Lets see if we can make a bigger difference this time, steeling a line from Tesco… every little helps!
